I enjoy my work as a therapist. I have a passion for learning, which allows me to stay current with treatment approaches. In addition to private practice, I currently work in skilled nursing facilities where I help people struggling with adjustment to life changes such as loss, illness and physical limitations. My past experience includes working with individuals in outpatient clinic and psychiatric hospital settings.
In 2013, I earned a doctoral degree in psychology from California School of Professional Psychology. My pre-doctoral internship consisted of providing group and individual therapy at a partial hospitalization program where people were managing severe mental illnesses. My post-doctoral training involved providing individual therapy at a private practice and performing crisis assessments at a psychiatric hospital. I also received training through a hospice program where I worked with individuals suffering a loss of a loved one or dealing with the emotional aspects of terminal illness.
